The Hotel Zone in Puerto Vallarta has a lot going on. It includes hotels, resorts, clubs, cinemas, and restaurants, all located close to the beach. The Hotel Zone is set on a narrow area between the beach and the main drag, Francisco Medina Ascencio, and runs from the stadium to the cruise ship terminal.
La Isla is a spacious outdoor mall in the Hotel Zone, with many international shops and a full-service Cinepolis theater. It has a warm, inviting design, beautiful architecture, fountains, a river, and tropical gardens. Or swing by Gallerias, an upscale mall with movie and dining options, great for a stroll on the hottest afternoons.
There are four different golden beaches in the Hotel Zone area. Playa de Oro is the main beach set against a beautiful mountain backdrop. Playa Las Glorias is a terrific spot for swimming, sunbathing, and surfing or catching an amazing sunset. Playa Los Tules features sparkling blue waters and soft, golden sand. It’s also one of the quietest beaches in the area. Playa Tranquila is perfect for swimming, as the waves are gentle. It’s quieter and more peaceful than many other beaches around Vallarta.
